Renault Master 4
Oil level, maintenance period
Oil level
Before operation or after an extended period of inactivity, check the hydraulic oil
level in the tank 1. The oil level check is carried out with the flatbed raised and the safety stay engaged
STAY. Top up if the oil level is below "MINI". It should never exceed the "MAXI" level.
It is very important to choose an oil with a nominal viscosity prescribed for the
ambient working temperature. Consult an Approved Dealer or the table below to select
the right oil for your needs.

Maintenance period
| Daily maintenance |
Always check the condition of the flatbed before each use. |
Check for oil leaks beneath the flatbed after storage. |
Check the oil level in the hydraulic assembly tank. |
| Scheduled maintenance |
Clean the flatbed immediately after transporting a corrosive product. |
Check the tightness of the bolts on the dropside handles. Tighten them if they start
to come off.
|
Regrease the pins and dropside fasteners after each high-pressure jet cleaning. |
Have the oil changed by an Approved Dealer every 10,000 manoeuvres or every 5 years. |
Check and adjust the oil level regularly. If the oil contains water, replace it OIL LEVEL.
|
Periodically check the condition of the hose and the tightness of the hydraulic system. |
Regularly grease the hinges and the grab handles of the side dropsides. |
Wash the flatbed frequently with a water jet. Do not wash the hydraulic assembly of
the flatbed with a high-pressure washer. In the event of an impact or the beginnings
of rust, consult an Approved Dealer.
|
After 8 months' use, check the tightening torque between the chassis and the underside,
in accordance with the manufacturer's camber recommendations.
|
Visually inspect the dropside and flatbed hinges. |
Visually check the hydraulic assembly, hose and strut for leaks. |
Check that the towbar socket and clearance lights are working properly. |
Check that the battery isolation is working properly. |
