In case of puncture

Depending on the vehicle, either a tyre inflation kit or an emergency spare wheel is provided.

tip

Vehicle fitted with a tyre pressure monitoring system

In the event of under-inflation (punctures, under-inflation, etc.), the 2_ALL_197_1_pictogramme.png warning light appears on the instrument panel Tyre pressure loss warning.

warning

If the vehicle is parked on the hard shoulder, you must warn other road users of your vehicle's presence with a warning triangle or with other devices as per the legislation applying to the country you are in.

warning

If the spare wheel has been stored for several years, have it checked by your Dealer to ensure that it is safe to use.

Vehicles fitted with an emergency spare wheel smaller than the four other wheels:

  • Never fit more than one emergency spare wheel to the same vehicle.
  • The punctured wheel is wider than the emergency spare wheel, so the height of the vehicle ground clearance is reduced.
  • Replace the emergency spare wheel as soon as possible with a wheel with the same dimensions as the original.
  • When this is fitted to the vehicle, which must only be a temporary measure, the driving speed must not exceed the speed indicated on the label on the wheel.
  • Fitting an emergency spare wheel may alter the way the vehicle usually runs. Avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration and reduce your speed when cornering.
  • If you need to use snow chains, fit the emergency spare wheel to the rear axle and check the tyre pressure.

Emergency spare wheel 3

This is located in the luggage compartment.

Vehicle not fitted with a subwoofer

To get to it:

  • remove the tool kit 5;
  • remove the emergency spare wheel.

Vehicle fitted with a subwoofer

tip

Remove the subwoofer 7, refit it and reconnect it in the same position. Handle it carefully. If not, this could impair the correct functioning of the subwoofer.

To get to it:

  • open the luggage compartment door;
  • lift the luggage compartment carpet 1 using tab2 (or the handle, depending on the vehicle);
  • unscrew the central mounting 6 located under the jack 4;
  • remove the tool kit 5;
  • disconnect the power cable of the subwoofer 7;
  • remove the subwoofer;
  • remove the emergency spare wheel.
tip

It is not recommended to replace and reconnect the subwoofer if a tyre is punctured: this may cause damage to the subwoofer.
