Changing bulbs

Any operation on (or modification to) the electrical system must be performed by an approved Dealer since an incorrect connection might damage the electrical equipment (harness, components and in particular the alternator). In addition, your Dealer has all the parts required for fitting these units.

The bulbs are under pressure and may break when replaced.

Please note when working close to the engine that it may be hot. The engine cooling fan may also start at any moment. The 2_ALL_290_1_pictogramme.png label in the engine compartment reminds you of this.

If you wish to fit fog lights to your vehicle, please consult an authorised dealer.

Vehicles with Halogen headlights

Daytime running lights/side lights/direction indicators 7

Consult an approved Dealer.

Halogen dipped beam headlight 6

To replace the bulb:

  • open the bonnet;
  • remove the cover B;
  • turn the bulb holder 11 a quarter turn;
  • remove the bulb.

Halogen main beam headlight 5

To replace the bulb:

  • open the bonnet;
  • remove the cover A;
  • pull the bulb holder 10;
  • remove the bulb.

Bulb types 5 and 6 : H7.

It is essential to use anti-U.V.55W bulbs so as not to damage the plastic on the headlights.

Do not touch the bulb glass. Hold it by its base.

When the bulb has been changed, make sure you refit the cover correctly.

Front fog lights 8

  • Access the bulb holder from underneath the vehicle;
  • unclip the flap 9;
  • turn the bulb holder by a quarter of a turn;
  • remove the bulb.

Bulb type: H16.

Once the bulb has been replaced, check that it is properly secured.

To comply with local legislation, or as a precaution, you can obtain an emergency kit containing a set of spare bulbs and fuses from an approved dealer.

Rear and indicator lights

Replacing bulbs

Access to the bulb holders 6 and 7

Open the luggage compartment door, remove the cover 4 to access the screw 5 and undo it.

Remove the rear lights unit.

Brake lights 1

Turn the bulb holder 6 by a quarter of a turn and take out the bulb.

Bulb type: P21W.

Refit the bulb holder and push the unit in fully until it locks in place.

Check that the light is properly locked in position.

Tighten the screw 5 and reposition the cover 4.

Direction indicator light 2

Turn the bulb holder 7 by a quarter of a turn and take out the bulb.

Bulb type: PY21W.

Side lights 3

Consult an approved Dealer.

Reversing light

From the luggage compartment, unclip the cover on the interior trim of the luggage compartment door 8 using a screwdriver or similar tool.

The bulbs are under pressure and may break when replaced.

Risk of injury.

Turn the bulb holder 9 by a quarter of a turn and take out the bulb.

Bulb type: W16W.

Refitting

To refit, proceed in the reverse order, taking care not to damage the wiring.

High level brake light 10

Consult an approved Dealer.

Rear fog lights 11

As the rear bumper needs to be removed, consult an Approved Dealer.

Bulb type: P21W.

Number plate lights with conventional bulbs 12

(depending on the vehicle)

  • Unclip the light 12 using a tool such as a flat-blade screwdriver;
  • remove the light cover to gain access to the bulb.

Bulb type: W5W.

LED number plate lights 13

(depending on the vehicle)

Consult an approved Dealer.

Direction indicator lights 14 and welcome lighting 15

The wing mirror needs to be removed; consult an approved dealer.
