tip

Some buttons have a warning light indicating their operative state.

Varying the ventilation speed

In automatic mode, the system uses the most suitable amount of air to reach and maintain the desired comfort level.

You can still adjust the fan speed by pressing switch 4 or 5.

Note: the air conditioning configuration depends on the mode selected in the "MULTI-SENSE" menu MULTI-SENSE.

Temperature adjustment

There are two types of settings:

  • independent settings;
  • function settings SYNC.

SYNC function

For a synchronised passenger compartment setting, press button 8 to activate it. The button indicator light 8 lights up. Then use control 11.

To deactivate the function, press the button 8 again or use the control 2 and adjust the right-hand side separately from the left-hand side.

The 2 button warning light switches off.

Note: the air conditioning configuration depends on the mode selected in the "Multi-Sense" menu MULTI-SENSE.

tip

The displayed temperature values show a comfort level.

When the vehicle is started, increasing or decreasing the value displayed does not mean that the temperature reaches comfort level more quickly. The system still optimises the decrease or the increase in temperature (the ventilation will not start at maximum speed immediately: it increases gradually). It may take from a few seconds to several minutes.

Generally speaking, unless there is a particular fault, the dashboard air vents should remain open.

"Clear View" function

This function quickly demists and de-ices the windscreen, the rear screen, the front side windows, and the exterior rear view mirrors (depending on the vehicle). It automatically activates the air conditioning and rear screen de-icing functions and, depending on the vehicle, the windscreen electric de-icer.

Press switch 10. The built-in indicator light comes on.

Press button 9 to switch off the heated rear screen function. The integrated indicator goes out.

To change the fan speed: press switch 4 or 5.

To exit this function,

press either:

  • switch 6;
  • switch 10 again;
  • or button14, 15 or 16.

Automatic mode

The automatic climate control system guarantees comfort in the passenger compartment and good visibility (except in the event of extreme conditions), whilst optimising consumption. The system controls the ventilation speed, air distribution, air recirculation, and starting and stopping the air conditioning and air temperature.

This mode consists of a choice of three programmes:

NORMAL: optimises the selected comfort level according to exterior conditions. Press switch 6 or button 15.

SOFT: enables the desired temperature level to be obtained more smoothly and silently. Press the button 14.

FAST: increases the air flow in the passenger compartment. This mode is recommended in particular to optimise comfort in the rear seats. Press the button 16.

Switching the air conditioning on or off

In automatic mode, the system switches the air conditioning system on or off, depending on the climate conditions.

Press switch 11 to:

  • activate the air conditioning manually (the indicator light for control 11 comes on);
  • deactivate the air conditioning manually (the indicator light for control 11 goes out);

Stopping the system

Press switch 4 repeatedly as many times as necessary to stop the system.

tip

It is preferable to use one of the NORMAL, SOFT or FAST automatic programmes.

In automatic mode (switch indicator light 6 is lit), all air conditioning functions are controlled by the system.

You can still change the system's choice; in this case, the switch indicator light 6 goes out.

To return to automatic mode, press one of the programmes (NORMAL15, SOFT14 or FAST 16or switch 6.

Rear screen de-icing and demisting

Press switch 9. The built-in indicator light comes on. This function enables rapid demisting or de-icing of the rear screen and de-icing of the rear view mirrors (on equipped vehicles).

To exit the function, press the switch 9 again. Demisting automatically stops.

Adjusting the distribution of air in the passenger compartment

Press buttons 17, 18 and 19 to select the desired distribution mode (the air flow selected is displayed).

17.

The air flow comes from the windscreen demisting vents and the demisting vents of the front side windows.

18.

The air flow comes mainly through the dashboard air vents.

19.

The air flow comes mainly through the outlets located at the occupants' feet.

Air recirculation (isolation of the passenger compartment)

This function is managed automatically but you can also activate it manually.

Note:

  • during recirculation, air is taken from the passenger compartment and is recycled without any air being taken from outside the vehicle;
  • air recirculation allows the external atmosphere to be cut off (when driving in polluted areas, etc.) and to cool the passenger compartment temperature more quickly.

Manual use

Press switch 3 the indicator light for switch 3 comes on).

Prolonged use of this position may lead to odours, caused by non-renewal of air, and the formation of condensation on the windows.

We therefore advise you to return to automatic mode as soon as air recirculation is no longer needed, by pressing switch 3.

To exit the function, press switch 3 again.

tip

Demisting/de-icing will still take priority over the air recirculation.
