USB connection
Connect
Connect the plug of the MP3 player, portable digital audio player or USB drive to the USB port.
Once the device is connected, the track will be displayed automatically.
Using the external audio source
Once your external audio source is connected, its contents can be accessed via the multimedia system menus.
Note:
- some formats may not be recognised by the system;
- the USB drive in use must be FAT32 formatted and have a maximum capacity of 500 GB.
Once the external audio source is connected, the first audio track will start to play automatically.
The system automatically restarts the last song played if the external audio player was previously connected to the audio system.
The audio system stores playlists identical to those on your external audio player.
If the external audio source has files, playlists and folders in its directory, the display and playback order on the screen will be as follows:
- « Folders » ;
- « Songs » ;
- « Playlists ».
To access the contents of your external audio source via your audio system:
- press
on the front panel to return to the playlist; - rotate
on the front panel or
on the steering column to scroll through the tracks;
Then, to modify the current playlist:
- press
on the panel to display the current playlist, then press
to display the folders or selection criteria. Press
to return to the previous folder;
or
- press
on the panel and confirm by pressing
to select the folder/playlist or to play the selected track.
Charging using the USB port
Once the USB plug of your portable digital audio player or phone is connected to the USB port of the audio system, the battery can be charged or the charge level maintained during use.
Note: some devices do not recharge or maintain the battery charge level while they are connected to the USB port on the audio system.
Bluetooth® audio playback
In order to use your Bluetooth® portable digital audio device, you must pair it to the vehicle upon first use. Refer to the "Pairing, unpairing a phone" section.
Pairing enables the audio system to recognise and store a Bluetooth® portable digital audio device.
Note:
- if your portable digital audio player Bluetooth®is equipped with telephone functions b and an audio player a, pairing one of these functions will automatically involve pairing the other;
- the number of functions which can be accessed depends on the type of portable digital audio player and its compatibility with the audio system.
Connect
Your portable digital audio player must be connected to the audio system via Bluetooth®c or USBin order for you to access all of its features.
warning
Only handle the portable audio player when traffic conditions permit.
Store the portable audio player while you are driving.
Risk of displacement in the event of sudden braking or in the event of an impact.
For a device already paired, perform the following operations:
- enable the portable digital audio player Bluetooth® connection and make it visible to other devices (for more information please see the user manual for your portable digital audio player);
- select the Bluetooth® audio source by pressing
or
.
Use
Your portable digital audio player must be connected to the audio system to enable access to all of its features.
Note: the portable digital audio player cannot be connected to the audio system unless it has already been paired.
Once the Bluetooth® portable digital audio player is connected, you can control it via your audio system.
Once the external audio source is connected, the first audio track will start to play automatically. The "PLAY" symbol d is displayed.
Rotate
on the panel or
on the steering column to move to the previous or next track.
Press
and
simultaneously to "PAUSE" f the audio track (press again to resume playback).
Note:
- in some cases, you may need to refer to the user manual for your device in order to finalise the connection procedure;
- The number of accessible functions varies depending on the type of portable player and its compatibility with the audio system.
Shuffle "MIX"
Press
or press and hold
to shuffle all the tracks in the folder.
The "MIX " indicator light e appears on the screen. A track is then selected at random. The transition from one track to another takes place randomly.
Press
again or press and hold
to deactivate the shuffle playback: the "MIX " indicator light e disappears.
Turning off the audio system deactivates the shuffle function.
Note: on a Bluetooth® device that is connected to the audio system, the shuffle applies to the current playlist. Change the folder/playlist to start the random playback.
Repeat "RPT"
This function can be used to repeat the track that is currently playing.
Press
or press briefly on
to activate the repeat function.
The " RPT " warning light g appears on the screen.
Press again on
or press briefly on
to deactivate the repeat function, the " RPT " warning light g will disappear.
Note: if the shuffle function is activated, this will be automatically deactivated when the repeat function is activated, the " MIX " warning light e will disappear and the " RPT " warning light g will appear.
You can enable the " RPT " and " MIX " functions simultaneously: the warning light j will appear on the screen.
Play mode
The playback mode is shown by the following symbols:
- « PLAY " d;
- "PAUSE" f;
- « STOP " h.
Pause
Simultaneously press on
and
to mute the sound or pause the audio track. The symbol f appears on the screen.
Press again on
and
simultaneously to activate the sound again or to play the audio track. The symbol f disappears from the screen and the warning light d appears.
This function is also deactivated if you change the volume or source, or if an automatic news bulletin comes on.

Store the portable audio player safely while driving (risk of being thrown in the event of sudden braking or impact).
