The battery 1 does not require maintenance. You should not open it or add any fluid.

Handle the battery with care as it contains sulphuric acid which must not come into contact with the eyes or skin. If it does, wash the affected area with plenty of cold water and consult a doctor, if necessary.
Keep any flames, red hot objects or sparks away from the battery components (risk of explosion).
Your battery charging status may diminish, especially if you are using your vehicle:
- for short trips;
- in an urban setting;
- when the temperature is low;
- after extended use of energy-consuming devices (radio, etc.) with the ignition switched off, etc.

Before carrying out any action in the engine compartment, you must switch off the ignition Starting, stopping the engine.
Replacing the battery

For your own safety and for the proper operation of the vehicle's electrical equipment (lights, windscreen wipers, ABS, etc.), any intervention on the battery (removal, disconnection, etc.) must categorically be performed by a specialist professional.

You must respect the replacement intervals (without exceeding them) as stated in the maintenance document.
The battery is a specific type: ensure that it is replaced by the same type.

Please note when working close to the engine that it may be hot. The engine cooling fan may also start at any moment. The
label in the engine compartment reminds you of this.
