Ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper measure the distance between the vehicle and an obstacle.
This measurement is indicated by beeps which become more frequent the closer you come to the obstacle, until they become a continuous beep when the vehicle is approximately 20 to 30 centimetres from the obstacle.
The system detects obstacles to the front, the rear and the sides of the vehicle.
The Motorway and Traffic Assistant is a driving aid system designed for use on long motorway journeys, where traffic is flowing or in jams.
Depending on the vehicle, this system comprises the “Stop and GoAdaptive cruise control function” ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL and the “Lane Centring” function.
Based on information from a radar or camera, the adaptive cruise control function (or Stop and Go adaptive cruise control function on vehicles equipped with an automatic gearbox) enables you to maintain the speed selected (known as cruising speed) while keeping a following distance with the vehicle in front in the same lane.
