Renault Master 4
Locking
Unwind the belt slowly and smoothly and ensure that the buckle 1 locks into the catch 2 (check that it is locked by pulling on the buckle 1).
warning
Incorrectly adjusted or twisted seat belts may cause injuries in the event of an accident.
Use one seat belt per person, whether child or adult.
Even pregnant women should wear a seat belt. In this case, ensure that the lap belt is not exerting too much pressure on the abdomen, but do not allow any slack.
Unlocking
Press the button the catch 2. The seat belt will be rewound by the inertia reel. Guide the belt.
warning
The design of the rear seats does not allow child restraints/seats (booster seat, child seat, carrycot) to be fitted.
Children requiring one of these devices must not sit in the rear seats.
Risk of death or serious injury.
warning
The seat belt should be tight around the lap strap and shoulder strap and there should be no play. If there is play, tighten the seat belt by pulling on the shoulder strap as this will make up for the extra play. The shoulder strap should rest flat against your chest and the lap strap should rest flat against your pelvis.
There is a risk of serious injury or death if the seat belt is not worn properly.
Seat belt maintenance
It must be kept clean.
Do not use solvents, bleach or dyes. After cleaning, wipe using a cloth and allow the seat belts to dry in the shade. Do not dry the seat belt in the sun or near a heat source. Do not allow the seat belts to retract until they are completely dry. Never lubricate the buckle or reel.
If dirt accumulates in the shoulder strap guide of the seat belt anchorages, the seat belts may retract slowly. Wipe the shoulder strap guide with a clean, dry cloth.
Checking the seat belt
If a seat belt is not functioning properly, has loose parts, extreme or unusual wear/damage, has cuts, fraying or abrasion on the strap, damage to the buckle, tongue, inertia reel or any other component, or any other damage is found, the entire seat belt must be replaced.
Never attempt to modify, disassemble, or repair a seat belt yourself. Following an accident, have the seat belts checked and replaced if necessary.
warning
Failure to inspect, maintain and replace seat belts as necessary may result in serious injuryor death if the seat belts do not function properly when required. Check your seat belts regularly.
