Introduction

The "Active driver assist" is a driving assistance system for use outside urban areas, on wide roads with visible markings.

The system consists of the following functions:

Adaptive cruise control Stop and Go

Using information from a radar and a camera, the adaptive cruise control function Stop and Go gives you the option to maintain a selected speed, known as the cruising speed, while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle in front in the same lane.

Speed limiter

The speed limiter function controls the motor to help you not exceed the driving speed you have chosen, known as the speed limit.

The speed limiter function can be activated from 0 to 110 mph.

Signage detection

The system displays the speed limits on the instrument panel according to the signs detected at the side of the road.

It mainly uses the information obtained from camera 1 , connected to the windscreen behind the rear-view mirror.

Driver Surveillance Warning

The Driver Surveillance Warning is a function that analyses the driver's behaviour (driving style, vehicle steering, etc.) and warns the driver in case of a risk of falling asleep at the wheel.

  • from the vehicle in front in the same lane;

Using the information from the camera 1 and radar 2, this function informs the driver of the time interval between their vehicle and the vehicle in front, in order to maintain a safe stopping distance between the two vehicles.
