Using the tailgate

Before using the tailgate, check the objects and/or accessories (bicycle racks, roof boxes, etc.) attached to the roof bars: they should be properly arranged and secured and should not interfere with the operation of the tailgate.

Ensure that the objects being transported are evenly distributed throughout the equipment loading area.

Roof carrying equipment

For information on the range of equipment adapted to your vehicle, we advise you to consult an Approved Dealer.

Please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions on how to fit and use the bars.

Please keep these instructions with the rest of the vehicle documentation.

Vehicles fitted with longitudinal roof bars

If fitted on the vehicle, you can transport additional luggage (bicycle rack, ski rack, etc.); :

  • on a roof rack;
  • on transverse roof bars, which must in turn be attached to the longitudinal roof bars 1;
  • directly onto the longitudinal roof bars 1.

The mounting inserts 2 are located on the longitudinal roof bars 1.

Maximum permissible weight on roof: 80 kg (including carrying equipment).

Vehicles not fitted with longitudinal roof bars

Open the doors to access the mounting points 3.

If original roof bars, approved by our Technical Department, are supplied with screws, only use these screws for attaching the roof bars to the vehicle.

It is prohibited to attach any carrying equipment (bike rack, luggage box etc.) resting against the spoiler or tailgate. To install a carrying device on your vehicle, contact an approved dealer.
