If the card doesn't work

In some cases, the card may not work:

  • Low or depleted card, flat vehicle battery, etc.
  • Use of appliances operating on the same frequency as the card (e.g. mobile phone);
  • if the vehicle is located in a zone of high electromagnetic radiation.

It is then possible:

  • depending on the vehicle, to use the emergency key integrated into the card to unlock the front left door;
  • to lock each of the doors manually;
  • to use the internal door locking/unlocking control;

The card's integrated key

The integrated key 2 is used to lock or unlock the front passenger door if the card does not work.

Access using key 2

Slide the rear casing 1 down by pressing area A.

Using the integrated key in the card

  • Insert the key tip 2 in the slot 3 at the bottom of the casing B on the driver's door;
  • move it upwards and remove the cover B;
  • insert key 2 into the driver's door lock, then lock or unlock it.

After entering the vehicle, return the key to its slot in the card.

Control for locking and unlocking from the inside

Switch 4 controls the boot lid and the fuel tank flap simultaneously.

If a door or the luggage compartment lid is open or not closed properly, the doors and luggage compartment lid lock/unlock quickly.

If transporting an object with the boot open, you can still lock the doors: with the engine stopped, press and hold switch 4 for more than five seconds to lock the other doors.

Door and tailgate status indicator

(depending on the vehicle)

With the ignition on, the indicator light above the switch 4 indicates the door locking status:

  • When the indicator light is on, the doors and trunk are locked;
  • If the doors and trunk are unlocked, the indicator light will be off.

When you lock the doors, the indicator light remains lit and then goes out.

Driver's responsibility

If you decide to keep the doors locked when you are driving, remember that it may be more difficult for the emergency services to gain access to the passenger compartment in the event of an emergency.

Locking the doors and boot without the card

For example, if the battery is flat or the card is temporarily not working, etc.

With the ignition switched off and a door or the boot open, press and hold the switch 4 for more than five seconds.

When the door is closed, all the doors and the luggage compartment will be locked.

Unlocking the driver’s door from outside the vehicle is only possible with the card in the access zone of the vehicle.
