The laws concerning children travelling in the front passenger seat differ in every country. Consult the current legislation and follow the indications in the diagram and in the installation table. Attaching with the seat beltAttachment using the ISOFIX system
Before fitting a child seat in this seat (if authorised, and depending on the vehicle):
- lower the seat belt as far as possible;
- move the seat as far back as possible;
- tilt the seatback backwards slightly (about 25°);
- if the vehicle is fitted with a seat height adjustment control, adjust it to the maximum height.
Always fully extend the headrest, so that it does not interfere with the child seat. Front headrests
After fitting a child seat, push the front passenger seat forward at least one notch. If a rear-facing child seat is fitted, do not allow it to touch the instrument panel.
Do not change other settings after installing the child seat.
warning
RISK OF DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY: Ensure that the airbag airbag is deactivated before installing a rear-facing child seat in the front passenger seat.
In the rear side seat
A carrycot should be installed across the seat and will take up at least two seats. Position it so the child's head is on the side opposite the vehicle door.
Before fitting a child seat to the ISOFIX anchorages on the rear side seat, check that the seat belt buckles are not positioned between the two ISOFIX anchorages on this seat. If necessary, move the buckle for the seat concerned towards the centre of the vehicle.
To install the rear-facing child seat, move the front seat as far forward as possible, then move it back as far as it will go.
To ensure the safety of a child in a forward-facing seat, move the vehicle seat forwards as far as possible and move the seat in front of the child forwards, ensuring that the seatback is adjusted to avoid contact between the seat and the child's legs.
In all situations, remove the headrest of the seat on which the child seat is positioned. Rear headrests
If necessary, move the rear seat as far back as possible. This must be done before fitting the child seat. Check that the child seat is resting against the back of the rear vehicle seat.
Rear centre seat
A child seat may only be fitted in this seat if it is equipped with an inertia-reel belt.
