Renault Boreal
The Driver Surveillance Warning is a function that analyses the driver's behaviour (driving style, vehicle steering, etc.) and warns the driver in case of a risk of falling asleep at the wheel.
It takes into account indicators such as:
- steering wheel movements;
- driver actions on other systems (turn signals, brake pedal, etc.)
warning
This function is an additional driving aid in case of fatigue risk. The function does not work in the vehicle. The function cannot, under any circumstances, replace the driver's responsibility while driving.
The driver should always drive at a speed appropriate to their attention levels, regardless of the system warnings.
Operation
The function is set to inform the driver if:
- a few minutes have elapsed since the last stop of the vehicle;
- the vehicle speed is above approximately 40 mph;
If there is a risk of fatigue or impaired attention, the message "Vigilance alert Have a break" will be displayed on the instrument panel, accompanied by a beep.
Press switch 1 "OK" to delete the warning. It is advisable to stop as soon as possible to rest.
After the message is deleted, the system will continue surveillance monitoring and issue a new warning if necessary.
tip
The Driver Surveillance Warning constantly monitors the driver's attention and can provide multiple warnings per trip.
The system resets each time the engine is started.
Activation/deactivation

tip

- when the vehicle is unlocked;
or
- when a door is opened;
or
- when the engine is started again.
tip
When the alerts are disabled, the system continues to assess the driver's fatigue status.
tip
Depending on the vehicle, the alerts are automatically disabled when the "Lane Centring" function is enabled. To re-enable the warnings, the "Lane Centring" function must be disabled. For more information
