Windscreen wiper blades 2

To replace the wipers, first place them in service position B.

With the ignition on and the engine stopped:

  • Move rod 1 twice in a row to position A (single sweep): the wiper blades will stop at service position B away from the bonnet;
  • Press button 4 and then upwardly remove the blade.

Refitting

To reinstall the wiper blade 2, insert it into the housing on arm 3 then push it in until it clicks. Make sure that the blade is correctly locked in position.

To return the wiper blades to the lowered position, make sure they are folded against the windscreen, then set rod 1 to position A (single sweep): the windshield wiper blades will fold into the bonnet when the ignition is switched on.

tip

Keep an eye on the condition of the blades. You are responsible for ensuring they are properly maintained:

  • clean the blades and the windscreen regularly with soap and water;
  • do not use them if the windscreen is dry;
  • move them away from the windscreen when they have not been used for a long period of time.

Replacing the rear window wiper blade 5

The rod in the off position (disabled):

  • lift the window wiper arm 6;
  • rotate the rear window wiper blade 5 (movement C) until it disengages;
  • release the rear window wiper blade 5 by pulling it outwards.

Refitting

Proceed in reverse to reassemble the windshield wiper blade. Make sure that the blade is correctly locked in position.

  • Keep an eye on the condition of the blades.

Replace the wiper blades as soon as they begin to lose efficiency: around once a year.

When changing the blade, when it has been removed, do not let the wiper arm fall against the window: risk of breaking the window.

warning

Before replacing the rear wiper blade, check that the rod is in the off (deactivated) position.

Risk of injury.
