Renault Kardian Latam

The following information applies to the vehicle's front and rear seat belts.

warning
  • No modification must be made to the originally fitted system components (seat belts, bench seats and their mountings). For specific situations (e.g. fitting a child seat), contact an approved dealer.

  • Do not use devices that allow any slack in the belts (clothes pegs, clips, etc.): a seat belt that is too loose may cause injuries in the event of an accident.

  • Never wear the shoulder strap under your arm or behind your back.

  • Never use the same seat belt to secure more than one person and never wrap the seat belt round a baby or a child on your lap.

  • The belt should never be twisted.

  • Seat belts should be checked and, if necessary, replaced after any serious accident. Always replace your seat belts as soon as they show any signs of wear.

  • Whenever the rear seat is put back in place, check that the rear seat belts and buckles are positioned correctly for use.

  • Make sure that the seat belt buckle is inserted into the appropriate catch.

  • Make sure that there are no objects near the seat belt catch, as they could stop it from fastening correctly.

  • Make sure the seat belt catch is properly positioned (it should not be hidden away, crushed or flattened by people or objects).
