Features of auto lighting and automatic main beam headlights

The system may encounter difficulties under certain conditions, including:

  • extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, fog, etc.);

  • When there are elements that obscure the windshield and camera, such as light-blocking coatings or roof-loaded cargo;
  • when a following or oncoming vehicle has weak or hidden lighting;

  • incorrect settings for the front headlights;

  • When reflective objects interfere with the system;
  • When the surroundings are bright at night;
  • Other.

The on and off times of auto lighting and automatic main beam headlights may vary depending on the climate, season, and surrounding environment.

The automatic dipped beam headlights will turn on due to the auto lighting feature, and if the main beam headlights are activated afterward, they will not turn off automatically even if the outside becomes brighter.

warning

Using a portable navigation system at night in the windscreen area below the camera may disturb the operation of the "automatic main beam headlights" system (risk of reflection on the windscreen).

■ Switching off the lights

The exterior lamps can be turned off in one of the following ways:

  • Turn ring 2 so that the dot aligns with symbol O.
  • Turn off the vehicle. (if the Escort function is not activated)
  • Lock the vehicle.

■ Headlamp escort function

This function keeps the dipped beam headlamps and position lamps on for a set duration.

The dipped beam headlamps, position lamps, and indicator lights on the instrument panel swich on simultaneously. The duration (0s, 30s, 60s, 90s) can be set by the user on the center console.

When a door is opened or closed, the timer resets.

A message abot the escort function will appear on the instrument panel, and the user may lock the vehicle at any time.

To turn off the lamps before the set duration ends, turn ring 2 to another position and then back to 0 or AUTO.

■ Welcome function

If activated, the headlamps, rear lamps, side mirror puddle lights, and interior lights will turn on when the user approaches the vehicle with the key.

You can activate the welcome light function by selecting [Vehicle settings] from the menu on the left side of the center screen -[Light] in order, and then selecting [Escort/Welcome light].

Or, you can swipe down from the left side of the clock at the top of the center screen to select [Control center], and then press [Welcome light] to set the function. Multimedia equipment

■ Headlight beam adjustment

Switch A adjusts the height of the headlamp beam.
