Note: When using voice recognition, the system uses the language set on the smartphone.

Voice recognition function

Only functions within the smartphone can be indicated.

• Mobile phone app
• Phone, text
• Weather, jokes, etc.

Note: The voice recognition function of the smartphone only works when using the functions of the smartphone. The multimedia functions of the vehicle (radio, navigation, ECO drive, etc.) cannot be operated.

Conditions for using the smartphone voice recognition function

To activate the voice recognition system, the following conditions must be met.

• The smartphone must be connected to the Android Auto/Apple CarPlay system via bluetooth.
• The smartphone must be connected to a 3G, 4G, or wireless network.
• The smartphone must support the voice recognition function.

Note: Smartphone voice recognition can only be used when linked with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. It does not work when only Bluetooth is linked.

Supported smartphones

The smartphone voice recognition function works on both Android phones and iPhones. However, it may not work depending on the smartphone model.

Voice recognition operation using the steering wheel

Activate voice recognition by pressing and holding steering wheel button A .

Once you have confirmed the system's voice recognition signal, you can give instructions.

While in operation, press and hold button A to enter voice command standby mode, and press and hold button A once more to end the function.

Note: If you try to use the vehicle voice recognition system while a smartphone without voice recognition function is registered, a message will be displayed on the multimedia system screen to inform you of this.
