Vehicle rental

Legal information

When renting a vehicle, you must inform the person renting the vehicle that the vehicle is connected and information such as vehicle location may be collected (see the terms of service on the website or app).

Data collection

You can temporarily stop vehicle data collection. For more information, please refer to the 'How to confirm and set data collection consent' page.

Vehicle resale

Delete personal information

When selling a vehicle, you must delete all personal information stored inside and outside the vehicle.

To delete personal information, you must perform a system reset on the vehicle and delete your vehicle from your [My Renault] app account.

Reset the system

Turn on the vehicle multimedia system.

On the central screen, press [Vehicle settings] -[System] in sequence and click the factory reset button.

Delete my vehicle from [My Renault] account

Launch the [My Renault] app.

Tap the 'Select vehicle' icon on the top left to delete the vehicle on the vehicle selection page.

Request to stop service and charges

The vehicle seller must contact the connectivity call center to notify that the vehicle has been sold and cancel the service.

Caution: If you do not notify the sale of the vehicle, you may continue to be charged a fee.

Caution: If you do not delete the vehicle when reselling it, there is a possibility of theft/security and privacy infringement due to functions such as unlocking the doors, starting and driving, vehicle location and driving history of the vehicle sold to the previous owner's account.​
