After the vehicle is started, the system automatically locks the doors when you reach approximately 4.35 mph (7 km/h).

The door can be unlocked:

Note: if a door is opened/closed, it will automatically lock again when the vehicle reaches a speed of approximately 4.35 mph 7 km/h).

Driver's responsibility

If you decide to keep the doors locked when you are driving, remember that it may be more difficult for those assisting you to gain access to the passenger compartment in the event of an emergency.

▶ Operating faults

If you experience an operating fault (such as the vehicle speed-sensitive automatic locking function not working), make sure that central locking has not been deactivated by mistake and check that all of the opening elements are properly closed.

If they are properly closed, contact an approved dealer.

■ Anti-theft system

The anti-theft system does not need to be manually activated or deactivated.

The anti-theft system is automatically deactivated when the vehicle START/STOP button is pressed and the key is detected by the vehicle.

Try the following methods, and if the vehicle does not start with any of the methods, contact an approved dealer as the vehicle will need to be inspected and repaired.

  • If the key is not damaged but does not operate properly, use a spare key first.
  • If the key battery is dead, the vehicle may start if the key is placed in the cup holder.
warning

Do not leave the key or related devices in the vehicle that can disable the anti-theft system.
