Renault Koleos
Using information from wide-angle cameras located in the front bumper, door mirrors, and on the tailgate, as well as ultrasonic detectors located in the vehicle bumpers, the feature displays the vehicle surroundings in a 360º top view on the central screen, assisting with difficult manoeuvres (e.g. parking).
The system allows the driver to monitor the surroundings outside the vehicle in real time, front/rear, left/right, and can assist the driver when parking.
However, this system is not a substitute for the driver's vision; even if your vehicle is equipped with this system, you should still check the situation in front of, behind, and to the left and right of your vehicle before parking.
Wide-angle cameras are easily affected by environmental factors such as fog, rain, snow, nighttime, and other low-light conditions. In these environments, you should use the system with caution and ensure that the surrounding environment is safe before using it.
Make sure the camera area is clean. Environmental conditions such as dirty camera areas or rain can affect the system's performance. In case of operation abnormalities, a related message may appear on the instrument panel.
Due to physical layout limitations of the wide-angle camera, blind spots exist in the around view image. Make sure the surrounding environment is safe before use.

- When the gear lever is in P, the system shuts down if no other operation is performed.
- If the gear lever is in a position other than R, the system shuts down when the vehicle speed exceeds 15 km/h.
- Turning on the turn signal when the vehicle speed is less than 15 km/h will activate around view (only top view is available when activated with the turn signal), and turning off the turn signal will exit around view.

When using this system, look directly and carefully around the vehicle to determine the actual situation. Do not rely entirely on the system, which can only be used as an aid to the vehicle.
warning
This function is an additional aid. It cannot, therefore, under any circumstances replace the vigilance or the responsibility of the driver. The driver should always be ready for sudden incidents while driving: always ensure that there are no small, narrow moving obstacles (such as a child, animal, pushchair, bicycle, stone, post, etc.) in the blind spot when manoeuvring.
Be aware of the following.
- Do not use this function while the door mirrors are in folded position.
- Ensure that the door and tailgate are properly closed before using the function.
- Do not place any objects on or in front of the cameras.
warning
In front view or rear view: when manoeuvring on a slope, objects shown on the multimedia screen may be closer or further away than they seem.
Take this into account in order to correctly assess the distance before any manoeuvre.
In the combined representation from the cameras:
- raised objects (pavement, vehicle, etc.) may appear distorted in the bird's eye view;
- any objects on top of the vehicle are not displayed.
The front, rear and side view guidelines are a representation projected onto flat ground; this information must not be taken into account when superimposed on a vertical object or an object on the ground.
Objects displayed on the edge of the multimedia screen may appear distorted.
In very bright light (snow, vehicle in sunshine, etc.), the camera vision may be adversely affected.
warning
Limitation of the system operation
- The radar area should be kept clean and free of any modifications in order to ensure the proper operation of the system.
- Small objects (motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, etc.) moving towards the vehicle may not be recognized by the system.
Deactivating the function You must deactivate the function if:
- the radar area has been damaged (rear bumper);
- the vehicle is fitted with a towbar that is not recognized by the system.
warning
This function is an additional driving aid. This function is not under any circumstances intended to replace the due care and attention of the driver, who should at all times be in control of the vehicle.
The system should under no circumstances be taken to be an obstacle detector or an anti-collision system.
System servicing/repairs
- In the event of an impact, the position of the radars may be changed, affecting the function. Deactivate the function and consult an authorised dealer.
- Any work in the area where the radars are located (repair, replacement, bodywork, etc.) must be carried out by a qualified professional.
Only an authorised dealer is qualified to service the system.
System disturbance
Some conditions can disrupt or damage the system operation, for example:
- a complex environment (underground car park, metallic structures, etc.);
- poor weather conditions (snow, heavy rain, hail, black ice, etc.).
Risk of false alarms or absence of warnings
In the event of the system behaving abnormally, deactivate it and consult an authorised dealer.
