■ Exterior rear view mirrors

▶ Adjustment

  • When the START/STOP button is in Mode I or Mode II or the engine is started, rotate the exterior rear view mirror adjustment switch 1 so that the mark '–' on the switch points to L (left) or R (right) to select the left/right exterior Mirror.
  • Toggle the exterior rear view mirror adjustment switch back/forth, left/right to adjust the angle of exterior rear view mirror glass.
  • After adjustment, reset the exterior mirror adjustment switch to the initial position O.

▶ Heated rear view mirrors

Press the button for rear view mirror, rear windshield defrosting and defogging on the front air conditioning control panel, and the button indicator lights up. The heating of exterior rear view mirror and the defrosting of rear windshield are activated simultaneously, and are automatically deactivated in 5~15 minutes. The time depends on the ambient temperature. The lower the ambient temperature, the longer the heating time. Front seat air conditioning (air conditioning)

▶ Electrical folding mirrors

When the START/STOP button is in Mode I or Mode II or the engine is started, rotate the exterior rear view mirror adjustment switch 1 so that the mark '-' on the switch points to the folding position , and the exterior rear view mirror is folded. Rotate the switch 1 to other positions to unfold the exterior rearview mirror.

▶ Folding of exterior rear view mirrors after vehicle locking

On the multimedia central screen, select [Vehicle Settings] -[Vehicle Lock/Key] in order.

Deactivate/activate the folding of rear view mirrors after vehicle locking in this interface.

When the switch 1 is in the O position and the rear view mirror is in the folded state triggered by the locking action of the vehicle, the mirror will automatically unfold after the vehicle is unlocked or the engine is started.

When switch 1 is in the O position and the rear view mirror is in the unfolded state, the mirror will automatically fold after the vehicle is locked.

▶ Outside mirror puddle lamp

On the multimedia central screen, select [Vehicle Settings] - [Light]- [Welcome Light] in order, and then activate or deactivate the welcome light. After the welcome light function is activated, the puddle lamp 2 at the bottom of the outside mirror lights up when the door is unlocked.

Objects observed in the rear view mirror glass are actually closer than they appear. For your safety, take this into account in order to correctly assess the distance before any manoeuvre.

Features of the exterior rear view mirror
  • When the exterior rear view mirror is frequently folded and unfolded, it enters anti-play mode for 2 minutes. In anti-play mode, the exterior rearview mirror cannot be electrically folded.

  • When the exterior rear view mirrors are folded, if the vehicle speed is greater than or equal to 31 mph (50 km/h), the exterior rear view mirrors will automatically unfold.

If the exterior rear view mirror is manually folded or unfolded, it can cause damage and may produce noise when it operates electrically afterward.

For safety reasons, carry out any adjustments while the vehicle is stationary.

■ Interior rear view mirror

The interior rear view mirror is fixed under the front windshield. Its view can be adjusted by holding and moving the mirror body.

▶ Rear view mirror with lever 4

(depending on the vehicle)

When driving at night, to avoid being dazzled by the headlights of the vehicle behind, shift the small lever 4 located behind the rear view mirror.

▶ Rear view mirror without lever 4

(auto-dimming rear view mirror)

The rear view mirror automatically darkens when you are being followed by a vehicle which illuminates you or in very bright lighting.

  • The electronic dimming function of the auto-dimming interior rear view mirror works only when the light incident on the mirror is not obstructed by other objects.
  • When cleaning the rear view mirror, be careful not to let water or detergent seep inside of the mirror.

Do not place objects higher than the rear seat behind the rear seat. They can obstruct the rear vision and pose a danger by flying forward during sudden stops or collisions.
