If the remote control or, depending on the vehicle, the card does not work

In some cases, the radio frequency remote control or the card may not work:

• Radio frequency remote control or card battery low or flat, vehicle battery discharged, etc.;
• Use of devices operating on the same frequency as the card (mobile phone, etc.);
• if the vehicle is located in a zone of high electromagnetic radiation.

It is then possible:

• to use the radio frequency remote control or the key integrated in the card (depending on the vehicle) to unlock the driver's door;
• to lock each of the doors manually;
• Use the door lock/unlock switch from the inside.

The card's integrated key

The integrated key 2 is used to lock or unlock the front passenger door if the card does not work.

Slide the rear casing 1 downwards while pressing zone A.

Using the integrated key in the card

• insert the key tip 2 in the slot 3 at the bottom of the casing B into the driver's door;
• Move it upwards and remove the cover B;
• insert the key 2 into the lock of the driver's door, lock it and unlock it.

After getting into the vehicle, put the key back in the card case.

Using the key

Insert the key 4 into the lock on the driver's door 5, lock and unlock it.

Locking the doors manually

With the door open, turn the screw 6 (using the end of the key) and close the door.

This means that the door is locked from the outside.

Now the door can only be opened from inside, or using the key on the driver's door.

Control for locking and unlocking from the inside

Depending on the vehicle, it can be used to simultaneously lock or unlock the doors and luggage compartment. Lock or unlock the doors by pressing the switch 7.

If a door or the luggage compartment lid is open or not closed properly, the doors and luggage compartment lid lock/unlock quickly.

If transporting an object with the tailgate open, you can still lock the other doors: with the engine off, press the switch 7 to lock the doors.

With the ignition on, the indicator light above the switch 7 comes on and informs you of the status of the doors and the luggage compartment:

• if the indicator light is on this indicates that the doors and luggage compartment are locked;
• light off, the doors and luggage compartment are unlocked.

When the ignition is off, the warning light remains lit and then goes out when you lock the doors.

Locking the doors and luggage compartment without the card or key

For example, if the battery is flat, or the key or card are temporarily not working, etc.

With the ignition switched off and a door (or the tailgate) open, press and hold the switch 7 for more than five seconds.

When the door is closed, all the doors and the luggage compartment will be locked.

Unlocking the driver’s door from outside the vehicle is only possible with the card in the access zone of the vehicle or using the key.
