Automatic mode.

The automatic climate control system guarantees comfort in the passenger compartment and good visibility (except in the event of extreme conditions), whilst optimising consumption. The system controls the ventilation speed, air distribution, air recirculation, and starting and stopping the air conditioning and air temperature.

AUTO: ensuring that the selected comfort level is reached, depending on the outside conditions. Press the button 8. The integrated warning light on the button 8 lights up.

Adjusting the ventilation speed

In automatic mode, the system uses the most suitable amount of air to reach and maintain the desired comfort level.

You can increase or reduce the ventilation speed at any time manually by turning the control 1.

Adjusting the air temperature

Turn the control 3 to obtain the desired temperature.

Special instructions

The lowest and highest temperatures are reached by setting the temperature control to cold or warm ("Lo" and "Hi").

tip

The displayed temperature values show a comfort level.

After starting the vehicle, increasing or decreasing the displayed temperature value will not help the system reach the desired comfort level more rapidly. The system will optimise the reduction or increase in temperature (the ventilation will not start immediately at maximum speed, it will increase gradually). This may take from one or two minutes to several minutes.

Generally speaking, unless there is a specific reason to close them, the dashboard air vents should remain open.

"Clear View" function.

Press the button 2: the warning light above comes on.

This function rapidly de-ices or demists the windscreen, the front side windows and the door mirrors, depending on the vehicle. It automatically activates the rear screen air conditioning and de-icing functions.

Press the button 10 to switch off the rear screen heating. The warning light above goes out.

To exit this function, press button 2 or 8 or adjust the ventilation speed by turning the control 1.

Adjusting the distribution of air in the passenger compartment

Turn the control 5 to adjust the desired air distribution. The integrated warning light in the button comes on.

Two positions may be selected at the same time.

All the air is then directed to the windscreen and front side window demisting vents.

The air flow is distributed between the front side window air vents, the windscreen air vents and the footwell vents.

2_ALL_513_1_pictogramme.png

The air flow is mainly directed to the feet of the vehicle's occupants and to the windscreen de-misting vents.

The air flow is directed towards the dashboard vents and the footwells.

The air flow is directed to the dashboard vents.

Switching air conditioning on or off

In automatic mode, the system switches the air conditioning system on or off, depending on the climate conditions.

Press the switch 4 to switch the air conditioning on (warning light above on) or off (warning light above off).

tip

Some buttons include an operation indicator light.

Rear screen de-icing/demisting

Press the button 10: the warning light above comes on. This function enables rapid de-icing and demisting of the rear screen as well as the de-icing of the door mirrors (if the vehicle is equipped with this function).

To exit the function, press the button 10 again. Demisting automatically stops by default.

Air recirculation (isolation of the passenger compartment)

This function is controlled automatically, but you can also activate it manually. In this case, the operation is confirmed by a warning light above the button 7.

tip

Demisting/de-icing will still take priority over the air recirculation.

Note:

  • During recirculation, air is taken from the passenger compartment and is recirculated, without any air intake from outside the vehicle;
  • air recirculation allows the external atmosphere to be cut off (when driving in polluted areas, etc.);
  • to bring the passenger compartment to the desired temperature as quickly as possible.

Manual use

Press the button 7: the warning light above comes on.

Prolonged use of this position may lead to odours, caused by non-renewal of air, and the formation of condensation on the windows.

We therefore advise you to return to automatic mode as soon as air recirculation is no longer needed by pressing the button 7 again.

To exit this function, press the button 7 again.

Stopping the system

Turn the control 1 to "OFF" to stop the system. To start, turn the control 1 again to adjust the ventilation speed or press the button 8.

tip

Fuel consumption increases when the air conditioning is being used (switch it off when it is not required).
