Daytime running lights function
(front lights only)
The daytime running lights come on automatically when you start the engine, without any action required on the stalk 1, then they switch off when the engine is switched off.
Special instructions
The daytime running lights switch off automatically when the direction indicator is in use.
warning
Before driving at night: check that the electrical equipment is operating correctly and adjust the headlight beams (if your vehicle is not carrying its normal load). As a general precaution, check that the lights are not obscured (by dirt, mud, snow or objects being transported).
Dipped beam headlights

Manual operation
Rotate the ring 2 until the symbol is aligned with mark 3. This indicator light on the instrument panel comes on.
Automatic operation
(depending on the vehicle)
Rotate the ring 2 until the AUTO symbol is aligned with the mark 3: while the engine is running, the dipped beam headlights switch on or off automatically, depending on the exterior light level and without any action required on the stalk 1.
tip
Always make sure that:
- The windscreen is not obscured (dirt, mud, snow, condensation, etc.);
- the light sensor 5 is not obstructed (by dirt, objects, etc.).
Main beam headlights

With the engine running and the dipped beam headlights on, push stalk 1. This indicator light on the instrument panel comes on.
To activate the dipped-beam headlights again, pull the stalk 1 towards you.
Automatic main beam headlights

Depending on the vehicle, the system switches on the main beam headlight automatically.
It uses a camera located behind the interior rear-view mirror to detect vehicles in front and those coming in the opposite direction.
Note: at night, in urban areas with street lighting, the automatic main beam headlights are automatically switched off.
The main beam headlight is automatically switched on when:
- the exterior light level is low;
- no other vehicles or lighting are detected;
- the vehicle speed is above approximately 25 mph (40 km/h).
If any of these conditions are not met, the system activates the dipped beam headlights.
Note: make sure that the windscreen is not obscured (by dirt, mud, snow, condensation, etc.).
To activate the automatic main beam headlights
Turn the ring 2 until the AUTO symbol is aligned with the mark 3.
The
warning light is displayed on the instrument panel.
To deactivate the automatic main beam headlights
turn the ring 2 to a position other than AUTO.
The
warning light will disappear from the instrument panel.
Note: the main beam headlights will be activated when you disable the automatic main beam headlights.

The system may experience difficulties under certain conditions, including:
- extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, fog, etc.);
- obstruction in front of the windscreen or camera;
- when a vehicle behind or moving in the opposite direction has dim or obstructed lighting;
- incorrect configuration of the headlights;
- reflective systems;
- ...
Operating faults
When the "Check Automatic Lighting" message appears on the instrument panel, the system is deactivated.
consult an approved dealer.
Switches off the dipped beam headlights
There are two possibilities:
- manually move the ring 2 to position
or, depending on the vehicle, to position 0; - the lights will switch off automatically when the engine is switched off, the driver's door is opened or the vehicle is locked. In this case, when the engine is started, the lights will switch on according to the position of ring 2, depending on the exterior light level, without any action required on the stalk 1.
Lights on reminder buzzer
A warning beep sounds when the driver’s door is opened to warn you that the lights are still on.
Front fog lights

Rotate the central ring 4 on the stalk 1 until the symbol is aligned with the mark 3, then release it.
Operation of the fog lights depends on the exterior lighting selected, and an indicator light will light up on the instrument panel.
Turning off the fog lights
There are two possibilities:
- depending on the vehicle, manually rotate the central ring 4 until the mark 3 is aligned with the symbol for the fog light. The corresponding warning light on the instrument panel will go out;
- the lights will switch off automatically when the engine is switched off or the vehicle is locked, and the fog lights will go out when the driver's door is opened.
The fog lights switch off when the exterior lights are switched off.
