Renault Koleos

Your vehicle has been designed with respect for the environment in mind for its entire service life: during its production, usage and at the end of its service life.

We are also committed to beautifying the planet we live on by voluntarily participating in environmental activities that benefit the planet by reducing inefficient energy use.

Manufacture

Your vehicle has been manufactured at a factory which complies with a policy to reduce the environmental impact on the surrounding areas (reduction of water and energy consumption, visual and noise pollution, atmospheric emissions and waste water; sorting and reusing waste).

Emissions

This vehicle is manufactured in compliance with the air quality preservation act and the noise and vibration control act applicable to passenger cars. To ensure optimal performance of the emission control device, it is essential to have emission control-related inspections performed at authorized service centers.

Evaporative emissions control system

The evaporative gases from the fuel tank are stored in a canister and sent to the intake when the engine is running, preventing them from being released into the atmosphere for combustion.

  • Canister: A casing containing activated carbon to capture the evaporated fuel gases from the fuel tank to prevent them from being released into the atmosphere.
  • Purge control solenoid valve: It controls the evaporated gas of the fuel stored in the canister to be sucked into the cylinder according to the operating conditions of the vehicle according to the signal from the electronic control unit.

Recycling

Your vehicle has been designed to minimize its environmental impact throughout its lifecycle using the best available technologies.

Your vehicle is more than 95% recyclable. To make it easier to recycle, we have made numerous innovations to the design of your vehicle and the materials used.

In order to preserve raw material resources, your vehicle also includes many parts made from recycled plastics or renewable materials.

Please make your own contribution towards protecting the environment too.

  • Worn parts and components that are replaced during routine vehicle maintenance, such as batteries, oil filters, and air cleaner filters, as well as oil and containers holding oil (whether empty or containing residual oil), must be disposed of through specialized companies.
  • Parts and vehicles at the end of their life must not be thrown away. They must be handed to a legal entity that complies with environmental standards.
  • Worn electrical and electronic components that are replaced (such as batteries) must not be thrown away as rubbish. Take them to an approved dealer or consult your local authority for information on appropriate recycling facilities.
  • Always follow the law.
