Introduction

Connectivity Service

This Connectivity Service may be different from countries or vehicle specifications.

This is a connected car service that allows online navigation route guidance for the vehicle multimedia system using 4G/5G communication networks and remote control and vehicle monitoring via the Mobile app on your smartphone.

Note: To use the connectivity service, you must log in to the Mobile app and go through the authentication process for your own vehicle.

Usage fee

Some of the connectivity services are provided for a fee, and are provided free of charge for 3 years (it may be different from countries) when purchasing a new vehicle, after which they are converted to paid services.

  • Remote control and safety support services via the Mobile app are provided free of charge for life.
  • Data usage services (Internet, OTT, etc.) other than the remote control service can be used through paid payment after 3 years (it may be different from countries).
  • The usage fee for the service may change depending on the contract between us and the telecommunications company. For more information, please refer to our homepage or the Mobile app.

Services provided

Connectivity service provides the following services.

Remote control service: You can control the following functions from your smartphone.

  • Door lock/unlock
  • Headlights + horn
  • Open/close windows
  • Open windows (ventilation)
  • Remote engine start on/off
  • HVAC(Heating Ventilation / Air Conditioning) on/off
  • Heated steering wheel (steering wheel)
  • Heated seat/ventilated seat
  • Digital key
  • Vehicle sharing

Vehicle monitoring: You can check the driving distance, remaining fuel, tire pressure/ temperature, accumulated driving distance, vehicle ignition/door lock/HVAC(Heating Ventilation / Air Conditioning)/heated seat and ventilation/heated steering wheel (steering wheel) status, interior temperature, battery voltage, etc. on the smartphone app, and you can also check the driving history. You can keep your vehicle's status up to date through wireless updates.​

Safety support service: In case of a breakdown or emergency, you can press the SOS button to receive support from the call center. The call center will be automatically connected when the airbag is deployed.

Opening the service

Connectivity opening preparation

In order to use the connectivity service, you must install the Mobile app and sign up for membership.​

When receiving the vehicle, you can use all Mobile app functions after electronically signing the vehicle receipt.​

Note: If you cannot check the vehicle you purchased or use the connectivity service after installing the app and signing up for membership, please contact the Connectivity Call Center.​

App installation and Membership Signup

Install the Mobile app on your smartphone and sign up for membership in the following order.

Download the Mobile app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and launch the app.

Select [Sign up] and proceed according to the order.

Proceed to agree to the terms and conditions.

Enter the login account you want to use (use your email ID).

Enter your password.

Now that you've completed your registration, you can log in to the app.

After logging in to the app, you must first sign up for the connectivity service and agree to the relevant terms and conditions.

Precautions when using connectivity services

warning

Do not use the remote door lock/unlock function with the smart key inside the vehicle.

When operating the remote control service, the next command must be executed after one command is completed. If the previous command is not completed, the next command may not proceed normally.

There may be restrictions on the service in areas with communication shadows.

The service will not work after 7 days of the engine being turned off. In this case, you can use the service again by pressing the smart key button to unlock and open the door.

The screen configuration and service may change depending on the version.

Preparations

[Find my car location], [Driving history]

To use this function, you must first do the following:

On the central screen, select [Vehicle settings] 1-[System] 2-[App management]-[Safety settings] 3 in order, then activate [Driving location upload] 4.

[Digital key]

To use the digital key function, the smartphone's Bluetooth and Mobile app permissions must be allowed.

You can set whether to allow or not the app permissions required for the digital key when selecting the digital key menu after installing the app.

  • Android (allow location, nearby devices)
  • iOS (allow Bluetooth)

Remote Service PIN Code

The Setting PIN Code is required once after logging in, and only a confirmation message for the command is displayed from the next remote control operation. When re-logging in, you can use it after entering it once again.

Resetting the PIN code

You can reset the PIN code using the following method.

Log in to the Mobile app, and move the screen to the bottom of [Vehicle] A.

Select [PIN code].

Enter the PIN code to be used for remote control.

Enter the set PIN code again.

When the setting is complete, press 'Complete' to complete the process.
