Side airbag

This airbag may equip each of the rear seats. They are fitted to the door side of the seats to protect the seat occupants in the event of a severe side impact.

Curtain airbag

These airbag are fitted along the upper side of the vehicle and they inflate along the windows of the front and rear doors to protect passengers in the event of a severe side impact.

Warning concerning the side airbag

  • Fitting seat covers: seats equipped with an airbag must be fitted with vehicle-specific covers. Contact an approved dealer to find out if these covers are available. The use of any other cover (or covers specific to other vehicles) may affect the proper operation of the airbag and affect your safety.
  • Do not place any accessories, objects or even pets between the seatback, the door and the internal fittings. Do not cover the seatback with objects such as clothes or accessories. This may prevent the airbag from operating correctly or cause injury when the airbag is deployed.
  • No work or modification whatsoever may be carried out on the seat or internal fittings, except by qualified personnel from an approved dealer.
  • The airbag is deployed through the visible slits in the backrests of the front seats (on the door side): never insert objects into these slits.
