Rear seats: functions

As for headrest, refer to the paragraph entitled 'Headrest'. Headrest

To tilt the seatback

The seat release lever 1 is installed on the left and right ends of the rear seatback. If you press the lever of the seat to be adjusted and push the seatback backward, the seatback angle will change to the 2nd position.

When returning to the 1st position, press the lever and tilt it forward sufficiently, then push it back to secure it.

After changing the angle of the seatback, push the upper part of the seatback forward and backward to check that the seat is completely fixed.

To fold down the seatback

You can expand the trunk space by folding the rear seat backrest to store large items.

Ensure that the front seats are far enough forward.

Before folding down a seatback:

  • lower the headrests fully;
  • place the seat belt in the belt guide A and buckle the seat belt. This prevents the seat belt from locking when the seatback is lifted up again.

Pull the lever 1 and lower the seatback.

After folding the seatback, leave a little space between the rear seat headrest and the front seat.

When the backrest is folded, a red mark 2 appears on the lever 1 to confirm that the backrest is folded.

warning

If the seatback's position is adjusted, make sure that it is properly locked. The middle seat belt cannot be used when the seatback is folded down. The buckle is not accessible.

warning

For safety reasons, carry out any adjustments while the vehicle is stationary.

When moving the rear seats, ensure that nothing obstructs the anchorage points (passenger's arm or leg, a pet, gravel, cloth, toys, etc.).

It is extremely dangerous to ride in the cargo space above the rear seat after folding it down.

warning

When refitting the seatback, make sure it is correctly locked in place.

Push the seatback firmly rearward until the red indicator 2 on release lever 1 is no longer visible to ensure that the lever is fully locked. Failure to do so may prevent the seat belt from functioning properly.

When the seatback is folded, the center rear seat belt buckle is not accessible and cannot be used.

If seat covers are fitted, make sure these do not prevent the seatback latch from locking in.

Make sure that the seat belts are positioned correctly.

Reposition the headrests.

Rear seat heating

(depending on the vehicle)

When the rear seat air conditioning display is activated, you can activate the heating function of the left and right seats by pressing button 3 or 4.

When one indicator light next to the control button lights up, the seat heating intensity is low, and when three indicator lights light up, the heating intensity is high. When all three indicator lights go out, the heating function is turned off.
