Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are application apps that can be downloaded to your smartphone, allowing you to use some of your smartphone's apps through the multimedia system.

Android Auto

Android Auto is an app that can be downloaded to your smartphone, allowing you to use some of your smartphone's apps on the multimedia system screen.

Note: If your smartphone does not support Android Auto, refer to the manufacturer's user manual or website.

Note: The Android Auto app works when your smartphone is connected to the vehicle's USB port or connected wirelessly via bluetooth pairing.

Note: When using the Android Auto function, information on the multimedia system and the instrument panel may be displayed differently.

Apple CarPlay

Apple CarPlay allows you to use some functions of your smartphone on the vehicle's multimedia system.

Note: If your smartphone does not support the Apple CarPlay function, refer to the manufacturer's user manual or Internet homepage.

Note: The Apple CarPlay service works when the smartphone is wirelessly connected to the vehicle via bluetooth registration and the Siri service is activated.

Using Apple CarPlay 1

Install the Apple CarPlay app and connect your smartphone to the multimedia system wirelessly via bluetooth.

When a pop-up window requesting connection appears, press [CarPlay] to accept the connection.

When your smartphone is connected to the system, the Apple CarPlay icon will appear in area A.

If the connection fails, repeat the connection procedure again.

Note: Siri must be activated to use Apple CarPlay.

How to use Android Auto 2

Install the Android Auto app and connect your smartphone to the USB port of the multimedia system or connect wirelessly via bluetooth.

When the pop-up window requesting connection appears, press [Android Auto] to accept the connection.

When the smartphone is connected to the system, the Android Auto icon will appear in area A.

If the connection fails, repeat the connection procedure again.

Note: Only Android Auto can be used with a wired connection.

Note: When connected to Android Auto, you can connect a second mobile phone via bluetooth to listen to music.

Return to the home screen and end connection

Press the home button on the left menu of the central screen to return to the home screen of the multimedia system.

Long press the home button on the menu to end Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

Note: Navigation, music, etc. running on your smartphone will not end even if you switch to the multimedia system screen.

Note: When setting a route in the navigation menu of the multimedia system, the smartphone navigation will automatically end and the multimedia system navigation will also be displayed on the instrument panel.

Voice recognition

If your multimedia system is running Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, you can use some of your smartphone's features with voice recognition.

To use smartphone voice recognition, press and hold the voice recognition button on the steering wheel for 3 seconds.

Note: When using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, you can use navigation and music apps on your smartphone.

These apps replace similar apps that are already integrated into the multimedia system.

Note: Some functions of the multimedia system are still available even when using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. If you are listening to the radio on your multimedia system, you can continue to listen to the radio even when connecting Android Auto or Apple CarPlay and using the navigation function on your smartphone.
