Note: Remote engine start can be used consecutively up to 2 times. If it exceeds 2 times, start the engine and drive at a speed of 30 km/h or more.

Note: When the remote engine start/HVAC(Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning)/steering wheel heating/seat heating & ventilation function is in operation, the engine must be off and in P gear, all doors must be locked, and the vehicle's smart key/digital key must not be inside the vehicle.

Note: The response speed may vary depending on the communication conditions.

Note: The remote control service may not work if the engine is started directly from the vehicle.

Caution: If the remote engine start status continues for a long time, a penalty may be imposed for exceeding the idling time limit according to local government ordinances and related laws. Please refer to the local government ordinances and use them carefully before using the function.

When using the remote start function, make sure that power-consuming devices (wipers, lamps, radio, heated seats, heated steering wheel, etc.) are turned off and all accessories are disconnected before exiting the vehicle. There is a risk of fire. Before using the remote start function, make sure that no one is in the vehicle and that the smart card is not left in the vehicle. Be careful as there is a risk of accident.

Do not use the remote start function in the following cases:

  • If the vehicle is in a confined space such as a garage, there is a risk of poisoning or suffocation due to exhaust fumes.
  • If the vehicle is on a steep slope, there is a risk of injury as the vehicle may move.
  • If the vehicle is covered with a protective cover, there is a risk of fire.
  • If the engine hood is open, there is a risk of burns or serious injury.

Remote doors locking/unlocking

You can lock or unlock your vehicle doors remotely via the Mobile app.

You can remotely watch the vehicle doors lock and unlock.

How to remotely lock/unlock doors

After launching the Mobile app, proceed in the following order.

Caution: Always use the remote door lock/unlock function in a safe place as there is a risk of theft when unlocked.

Note: The remote control service does not work if the vehicle is started directly from the vehicle.

Note: The requested command (door lock/unlock) is performed regardless of the current vehicle status (door locked/unlocked).

Note: The response speed may vary depending on the vehicle communication environment.

Remote headlight/horn control

You can check the location of your vehicle remotely via the Mobile app.

You can remotely blink the headlights or sound the horn via the app to find the location of your vehicle or to notify a third party of your vehicle's location.

  • The headlights and horn will operate.
  • Use to find the location of my vehicle.
  • The driver can inform a third party of the location of the vehicle from outside.

Remote headlight/horn control

After launching the Mobile app, proceed in the following order.

Note: Be aware that sudden honking of the horn or flashing of the headlights may cause a dangerous situation.

Remote Opening/Closing Windows

You can open and close windows remotely via the Mobile app.​

Open/Close windows​

After running the Mobile app, proceed in the following order.​

Note: If you operate the window open at the default 15% with remote HVAC(Heating Ventilation Air Conditioner), you can quickly lower the temperature inside the vehicle.​

Note: If you start the engine directly in the vehicle, the remote control service may not work.

Caution: If you open the window remotely, always use it in a safe place to avoid theft.

​When operating the window closing function in a place where the vehicle is not visible, caution is required as people or objects may become trapped between the window and the frame.

Digital key

You can lock/unlock the vehicle doors and drive after starting the vehicle using the digital key through the Mobile app.​

Lock/unlock the doors with the digital key

After launching the Mobile app, proceed in the following order:​

Automatic activation (download/connect) when entering the digital key menu

Automatic door opening operation when approaching the vehicle (1~2 meters)

Get in the car with your smartphone in your hand, press the START/STOP button 4 to start the car, and then drive.

Smartphones must be placed inside the vehicle while driving

After driving, turn off the vehicle engine, close the door and walk away from the vehicle (6-7 meters), and the door will automatically lock.

Note: Connecting to a vehicle is only possible when you are close to the vehicle (within 6~7 meters).

Note: When the vehicle is in Sleep mode, the digital key connection between the vehicle and the smartphone is disconnected. In this case, you can reconnect to the vehicle by selecting the [Digital key] menu again or pressing the [Connect] button in the [Digital key] menu.

Sleep mode is a power-saving mode that turns off all functions, leaving only the minimum dark current, to prevent battery discharge after a certain period of time when the engine is turned off.

Note: If you are activating the digital key on your smartphone for the first time, the digital key download process may require additional connection time.

Note: To use the digital key function, the smartphone's Bluetooth and Mobile app permissions must be allowed.

You can set whether to allow or not the app permissions required for the digital key when selecting the digital key menu after installation.

  • Android (allow location and nearby devices)
  • iOS (allow Bluetooth)

Note: The digital key is a method of communicating between the vehicle and the smartphone via Bluetooth, so the operating conditions may vary or may not be smooth depending on the surrounding environment. If the automatic door lock/unlock does not work, you can lock/unlock the door by touching the door handle sensor.

Note : Auto lock/unlock using digital key works is available one time. It is reactivated after opening/closing the door.

Caution: We recommend that you carry the vehicle smart key in case of malfunctions, valet parking, or visiting a service center.

Caution: If the smartphone's battery charge is too low, the digital key function may not work properly. We recommend using the digital key when the battery is sufficiently charged.

  • Depending on the surrounding environment, if there is radio interference or communication is not smooth (Bluetooth connection is disconnected), the message “No key in the vehicle” may appear on the dashboard. Even in this case, there is no problem with driving, and if you turn the ignition off and then on again, the message will disappear.​
  • Depending on the surrounding environment, if there is radio interference or communication is not smooth, automatic door locking/unlocking may not occur. We recommend operating by touching the door handle sensor, and you must directly check the vehicle lock status.​

If you remain near the vehicle with the smart key or activated digital key in your possession, automatic door unlocking/locking may be activated.

​When closing the tailgate, please make sure that your smartphone is inside the vehicle. If you leave your smartphone inside the vehicle and close the tailgate while the vehicle is locked or close it with the tailgate lock button, you may not be able to unlock the vehicle from outside.

If a smartphone with the digital key function activated is inside the vehicle, the vehicle can be started.

If a person or child who is not familiar with this vehicle system is inside the vehicle, an unexpected accident may occur, so caution is required. Also, to avoid the risk of vehicle theft, always carry the smartphone with the digital key registered when leaving the vehicle.

Vehicle Sharing

You can share the following functions with up to 3 people per vehicle through the Mobile app.

  • Digital key
  • Remote control
  • Vehicle information (excluding driving history)

When sharing, you can select the sharing period and usage functions, and after sharing, the owner can cancel or change the sharing period/function at any time.​

Sharing a vehicle A

After launching the Mobile app, proceed in the following order.​

Note: In order to share a vehicle, the recipient must be registered as a member of the Mobile app before sharing. When sharing a vehicle, enter the recipient's name and mobile phone number and select the member authentication button to see a pop-up message indicating that member authentication is complete.​

Note: Vehicle sharing is available after 24 hours from the time of sharing. If the sharing acceptance procedure is not completed within 24 hours, the sharing request information will be automatically deleted.​

Note: If you select no limit on the sharing period, you can continue sharing. In addition, if you specify a period, you can set the sharing expiration date. Sharing will be automatically canceled 24 hours after the expiration date.​

Note: If you need to continue using a vehicle shared with a specified period, you must request an additional period from the sharing provider before the sharing period expires.

Note: You must select at least one function for the usage function, and you can share the [Digital key], [Remote control], and [Vehicle information] functions. However, [Vehicle information] can be shared when sharing the [Remote control] function.

Note: You can check the shared content in the shared list, and you can cancel sharing or modify the period and usage features at any time.​

Note: You can cancel sharing if the following conditions are met.

  • Door/tailgate/bonnet locked
  • Windows closed
  • Engine off

Note: Owner should download digital key first before sharing vehicle to the guest.

When sharing digital keys, remote control, and vehicle information through the vehicle sharing function, there is a possibility of theft, security, and privacy infringement due to functions such as unlocking the vehicle's doors, starting and driving, and vehicle location. Owners must share these contents in consideration when sharing. All liability arising from vehicle sharing lies with the vehicle owner, so caution is required.

If vehicle information is provided through vehicle sharing, [Driving history] is not shared. The vehicle owner can check the vehicle driving history of the person who received the sharing through the [Driving history] function.Vehicle monitoring: Driving log

Both the vehicle owner and the person who received the sharing can check the location of the vehicle through [Find my car].Vehicle monitoring : My car finder

Both the vehicle owner and the person who received the sharing can check the vehicle status through various notifications (such as remote control usage history).

Since various functions of the vehicle can be controlled or checked through the remote control service, the vehicle owner and the person who shared the vehicle must always be careful not to expose their login information to the outside.

Vehicle monitoring : My car finder

You can check the location of your vehicle remotely via the Mobile app.

  • Using your vehicle's GPS information, you can see where it is parked on the Mobile app [map] A.
  • The current location C of your smartphone is shown.
  • The GPS location is the location B where you last parked your vehicle with the engine off.

To find my car

Launch the Mobile app and proceed as follows.

  • Select [Map] A in the app.
  • Select the [My car] icon D in the bottom right corner of the map.
  • Check the vehicle location B.

Note: Find my car shows the last transmitted location of your car. The car's location is sent to the server every minute. If [Upload driving location] is not enabled on your car, location information is no longer sent. This may result in a difference between your car's current location and the location displayed in the app.

Note: Find my car uses GPS signals, so the location displayed on the map may not be the same as the actual location. If you're parked underground, your car's location may show outside the building (we recommend using the headlight control feature for underground parking).

Note: The feature requires an initial one-time consent from your car to be activated. Once activated, you can check the location of your car.

How to activate find my car

  • On the central screen, select [Vehicle settings] 1 - [System] 2 - [App management] - [Safety settings] 3, then enable [Driving location upload] 4.

Note: To disable the find my car feature, select in the above order and then disable 4.

Vehicle monitoring: Driving log

You can check your vehicle's driving history through the Mobile app. You can check the record of driving more than 1 km for up to 2 months through the app.

Driving history

After launching the Mobile app, proceed in the following order.

  • Select [Vehicle]-[Driving history]
  • When selecting each driving history list C, you can check detailed information B including the route on the map

Note: The function will be activated only after you give consent once in the vehicle and app. You can only check the driving records in the activated state.

How to activate the driving history storage

  • Vehicle

    Select [Vehicle settings] 1-[System] 2-[App management]-[Safety settings] 3 in order on the central screen, then activate [Driving location upload] 4.

  • Mobile app

    Activate [Activate driving history storage] A in [Driving history] of the [Vehicle] tab in the app.

Note: To deactivate the driving history storage function, select in the above order and deactivate 4 or A. If deactivated in the vehicle or app, the vehicle location information will not be stored thereafter.

Note: The information that can be checked in the driving history is as follows:

Departure time, arrival time, travel distance, driving time, average speed, average fuel efficiency, starting address, destination address, travel route (checkable on the map)

Note: If vehicle information is provided through vehicle sharing, the driving history is not shared and can only be checked by the vehicle owner.

Note: Regardless of whether the vehicle is shared, all driving history that has driven more than 1 kilometer based on the vehicle can be checked in the owner's account.​

Note: Each driving history can be individually deleted using the delete button.

Note: Regarding average fuel economy showing in mobile app, it refers to the average value in the on the instrument panel. There may exist small gap between mobile app and the vehicle.

Vehicle monitoring: Vehicle Status

You can check the main status of your vehicle remotely through the Mobile app.​

Vehicle status

After launching the Mobile app, proceed in the following order.​

  • Select [Vehicle]-[Vehicle status]
  • You can check tire pressure/temperature, door/window/trunk status, cumulative mileage, engine start, lock status, remote air conditioning, interior temperature, battery voltage, steering wheel heating, and seat heating/ventilation status

Note: You can check the mileage and remaining fuel level at the top of the vehicle's main page.​

Note: Depending on the communication environment of the vehicle and mobile phone, vehicle information may not be reflected properly. You can reconnect in a place with smooth communication and check the vehicle status.​

Caution: If the vehicle status information confirmed in the app is different from the actual vehicle status, please press the sync button or re-enter the vehicle status menu.

Caution: During the vehicle information transmission process, information transmission delays may occur due to vehicle and communication conditions.

Notifications

Remote Remote Service PIN Code

The PIN code is entered once after logging in, and only a confirmation message for the command is displayed from the next remote control operation. When re-logging in, you can use it after entering it once again.

Resetting the PIN code

You can reset the PIN code using the following method.
