Fuses
A blown fuse prevents overloading of electrical devices in the circuit and protects the vehicle's electrical equipment.
A blown fuse indicates that something has happened to the circuit it protects and it has stopped working.
If you suspect a problem with a fuse, remove the fuse from the fuse box and check to see if the metal wire on the fuse is broken.
- A
- The fuse is intact
- B
- Fuse is blown
- 1
- Tweezers
The engine compartment fuse box is located on the left side of the vehicle's engine room, while the interior fuse box is located under the driver's seat. There are two types of fuses:
- Strip fuse
A relatively thin plug-in type, rated current of 5-25 A.
- Slow blow fuse
Square, plug-in type, rated current of 20-60 A.
The color indicates the amperage of the fuse, which is also marked on the fuse.
warning
When installing electrical and electronic accessories, be sure to connect them with a fuse holder. There is a risk of fire.
Stop the vehicle from starting, turn off all electrical devices and replace the fuse.
warning
Check the fuse in question and, if necessary, replace it (replacement fuse must have the same rating as the original.
If a fuse is fitted with too high a rating, it may cause the electrical circuit to overheat (risk of fire) in the event of an item of equipment using an excessive amount of current.
Engine room fuse box C
Opens the engine compartment bonnet. Bonnet
Remove the four retaining clips 2, remove the trim panel 3, and access the engine compartment fuse box.
The fuses for some accessories are located in fuse box C in the engine compartment.
To check the fuses, release the retaining clips on the fuse box cover and remove the fuse box cover.
These fuses are not easy to replace yourself, so contact an authorized workshop.
All electrical components and parts of the vehicle can be damaged if liquids splash on them. Ensure that all covers for electrical components and parts are securely fastened.
Interior fuse box
The interior fuse box is located under the driver's seat. The fuse can be accessed by opening the carpet and plate pad 4 under the driver's seat.
This fuse is not easy to change yourself, so contact an authorized workshop.
Inspect or replace the fuse
Turn off the vehicle power and all electrical components.
Disconnect the negative cable from the 12-volt battery. 12 V battery: breakdown recovery
Remove the fuse by grasping the fuse head with fuse tongs and pulling. Make sure the metal wire of the fuse is broken.
Replace the blown fuse with a new fuse of the same amperage. If the fuse blows immediately after replacing the fuse, contact an authorized service provider.
